Mercedes Javid is focused on healing and family as she navigates her divorce from Tommy Feight — and she says dating is not currently part of the plan.
In an speaking with The Daily Dish, the “The Valley: Persian Style” cast member opened up about where she stands romantically following her separation, making it clear that she is prioritizing herself and her 6-year-old son, Shams Francis Feight, during this transition.

In the recent interview, the “Shahs of Sunset” alum revealed that the idea of dating amid her divorce hasn’t even crossed her mind.
“There is ‘no way’ that she has even thought about dating during her divorce,” she shared, explaining that the split remains fresh. “It’s extremely raw and very new, everything that has happened. I just can’t.”
Instead of pursuing new relationships, Javid said her attention is firmly on her son, joking, “I think I’m gonna be a celibate monk or like, wait until Shams is like 35. How old would that make me… a hundred something?”
Javid expanded on her feelings during a Jan. 22 episode of her podcast, “Till the Dirt,” where she made it clear that she is not ready to welcome anyone new into her life.
“I couldn’t ‘imagine’ being with ‘another person, at all,'” she said. “Like, not even a one-night stand.”
She added that she wants stability for her son during this period of change.”The only person Shams is going to see me around is going to be Tommy.”
Before meeting Feight on Tinder in 2016, Javid had actively dated and used apps while searching for a long-term partner. Now, however, she says her priorities have shifted inward and that she plans to date “no time soon.”
“But I do know who I want to date and that is myself,” she said. “I want to date my career. I want to date my son. I want to date my house,” she added. “This is all about like, me needing and wanting to date the best version of myself.”

“Those scenes are hard to watch, but I also lived it a lot, and I love him very much, and I think that the love is always there, but it’s hard to watch, too. I’m still processing it,” she said.
Despite the tension shown on screen, Javid made it clear that mutual respect and co-parenting remain priorities.
