‘The Valley’ Star Threatens to Call Off Wedding in Dramatic Midseason Trailer

Domestic bliss remains elusive in the midseason trailer for “The Valley.” In the new clip, the cast takes a vacation to Mexico, which any “Vanderpump Rules” fan will know means margaritas and tears.

The preview of Season Three shows a bumpy road to the altar for one couple, finds two more romances progressing, and proves that this crew isn’t quick to bury the hatchet. Oh, and for good measure, you’ve got Zack Wickham crying during a butt facial thrown in the mix.

New Parents Luke & Kristen Are Struggling

Engaged couple Luke Broderick and Kristen Doute have found it difficult to connect since welcoming their first child, a daughter named Kaia.

So far this season, we’ve seen Doute feel overwhelmed by the demands of motherhood and uncomfortable with the way it has changed her body, calling postpartum more challenging than pregnancy. Broderick has complained about the lack of intimacy in the marriage, while Doute has felt she is carrying the majority of the weight taking care of their child.

Now, it seems the couple, who got engaged on Season Two of the show, is less optimistic about the prospect of marriage. “If things don’t improve, there’s not going to be a wedding,” Broderick tells Jesse Lally, clearly frustrated.

Jesse Is Moving On & Michelle’s Not Happy

Meanwhile, Michelle Seniai and Lally aren’t exactly the inspiration Broderick and Doute need to believe in the institution of marriage.

It’s not easy for the former couple to stay in the friend group, particularly as Lally becomes more serious with his new girlfriend, Lacy Nicole, who calls her real-estate boyfriend “husband material.”

Seniai, who may or may not be dating Dr. Dre, bemoans watching her ex move on. “I see the way you treat Lacy,” she tells Lally. “You never treated me like that.”

Nia Is Standing by Her Man

Danny Booko’s behavior while drinking has been a hot-button issue of the show for two seasons now. His wife, Nia Sanchez, clearly isn’t thrilled with his behavior, but she’s also not here for her friends’ criticism.

“I’m gonna have a great time tonight!” yells a seemingly inebriated and deeply frustrated Booko, to which his wife responds, “Stop!” At one point, Sanchez puts her hand up and physically blocks Lala Kent from approaching Booko, prompting Kent to call the former Miss USA “a linebacker in a prairie dress.”

It’s no surprise that Janet Caperna and Kent still aren’t seeing eye to eye with Sanchez on the issue, but tensions are also rising with Brittany Cartwright. The single mom is frustrated when longtime allies Wickham and Doute stand up for Sanchez, who Cartwright has accused of hiding her marriage’s struggles from the camera. The group isn’t buying her innocent girl from Kentucky schtick the way they used to, with Lally complaining, “She gets away with everything.”

In short, the midseason trailer can be summarized by a suggestion from newcomer Nicole, “If we’re already in hell, let’s not get a shovel and deeper.”

“The Valley” airs on Bravo Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST.

  1. I don’t know what it is with Janet Caperna but everything about that chick just seems slimy. That’s the only word I can come up with right now. I really had high hopes at the beginning of this season. When she said that she had been in therapy. And she did seem like she understood WHAT she was saying and HOW she was WORDING IT (Alluding to this big bad darkness of Danny that she has to make everyone including the audience know how horrible of a person he is and hate him as much as she does) was really wrong. She’s 1 of those kind of people that Lives to be able to say I told you so and you should have listened to me and I was right all along!!!! And YES I agree that Danny becomes very obnoxious after that 1 too many drinks. I’m not blind!! But the way that Janet spins it. And the wording that she uses and the body language. It’s 1 thing to say Danny, when you get drunk you are an a**hole! But the way Janet does it it’s character assassination! Like she’s purposely going out of her way to RUIN his name! I don’t even know why she’s on the show anymore. It seems like she has something bad to say about every single person on the show. Except her and her husband. They’re always above it all…better than everyone else. Sorry about the soap box I got on. Enough said, actually too much said. LOL
