Fans of “Dancing with the Stars” are buzzing over some teasers coming from current and previous show pros. Something new for the franchise is in the works, and DWTS fans are quite eager to know what it is.
Lindsay Arnold Started the Speculation About a New DWTS Project
Former “Dancing with the Stars” pro Lindsay Arnold got the ball rolling with a recent social media post on TikTok. She explained she was heading to New York for a quick trip related to a project that fans would learn more about soon.
Arnold admitted that she couldn’t give fans much in the way of specifics. She revealed she received a call “about a week ago” about something that is in works and connected to “Dancing with the Stars.”
Whatever it is that the show is developing, viewers will get to see it play out during the summer. She said she was excited and grateful to be asked to be a part of the project.
However, Arnold admitted, the project primarily take place shortly after she welcomes her third baby. Given that she’ll be newly postpartum, she’s not sure how involved she’ll be.
Arnold explained she’ll be part of a big promotion about the project happening in New York City. It involves dancing, and it seems that this announcement that will happen during the February 10 episode of “Good Morning America.”
As Arnold documented her trip to New York, she revealed that her sister, current “Dancing with the Stars” pro Rylee Arnold, was also involved. Jenna Johnson is in New York for it, and “Dancing with the Stars” spotted several others revealing via social media they were in New York for the big announcement, as well.
Even ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Insiders Don’t Know What the Upcoming Project Is
As “Dancing with the Stars” fans scoured the Internet for clues, a few tidbits emerged. For a brief period of time, it was speculated that the announcement was related to an upcoming reality TV show revolving around finding the next new “Dancing with the Stars” pro.
However, in the “Dancing with the Stars” subreddit, Ezra Sosa was spotted commenting on social media that the next pro show wasn’t what the announcement was about.
Sasha Farber shared via his Instagram Stories that he, Gleb Savchenko, and Jan Ravnik were flying to New York, and he met up with the Arnold sisters to film a TikTok.
Quite a few pros are currently performing on the “Dancing with the stars” tour, but it just so happens that the February 10 stop for the tour is in White Plains, New York. That is not far from where “Good Morning America” films, so it seems likely that several of the pros touring will pop up in the GMA announcement as well.
“Dancing with the Stars” fans have had lots of guesses they have shared in the show’s subreddit. One person suggested that maybe there is a show documentary of some sort in the works. A couple of other fans thought that was a solid possibility. However, it wouldn’t necessarily account for Arnold mentioning the complication of dancing postpartum.
Others on Reddit have noted that Witney Carson, Sosa, and Britt Stewart are also in New York for the announcement. In addition, it seems that Sharna Burgess was invited to join the group and she was unavailable.
In another Reddit thread, someone suggested there might be a major fan event, like a cruise, coming. Hallmark has done fan cruises with great success, and “The Bachelor” franchise had one in recent months as well.
Another suggestion regarded the creation of a reality show revolving around the “Dancing with the Stars” pros in some sense.
Some Possibilities Suggested Were Less Popular Than Others
Fans also picked up on a teaser online that suggested some tie between the WeWoreWhat influencer and the show. That was not the most popular possibility that people came up with, though.
“Watch it’s like a line of clothing at Walmart or something lol and Sasha & Lindsay are doing appearances to promote it,” suggested a fan.
Someone else wrote, “Would they bring all the pros in though for a random clothing line launch.”
“Dancing with the Stars” insider Kristyn Burtt has been doing her best to uncover the scoop. She noted in the comment online she doesn’t think it’s a clothing partnership announcement.
In her first TikTok video about the situation, she insisted this wasn’t about another “Juniors” or spring season. Whatever it is, Burtt teased, it seems to be something big that will thrill fans.
“The point is that the DWTS universe is growing,” she shared.
Burtt admitted in her latest TikTok regarding the mystery that even her best sources don’t seem to know what’s up.
Another commenter on Reddit suggested it could be a season featuring fans as contestants. A few others thought that was a potentially good guess.
Luckily, “Dancing with the Stars” fans will not have to wait long to get answers.
