Anne Hathaway is approaching maternity fashion on her own terms.
The Oscar winner turned heads at the August 9 premiere of her latest film, “The End of Oak Street,” in an unexpected combination that brought couture drama to a familiar denim staple.
Anne arrived at the premiere wearing a custom Atelier Prabal Gurung top that put her growing baby bump front and center.
The ice-blue silk halter design featured a cropped front and a dramatically longer back that created a small train behind her. A flash of crimson lining added another colorful surprise whenever the fabric moved.
The fashion house confirmed on Instagram that the top was an Atelier Prabal Gurung creation.
Instead of pairing the elaborate piece with a formal skirt or tailored trousers, Anne wore low-rise jeans. The relaxed denim kept the look fresh while allowing the top’s cascading silhouette to command attention.
An Unexpected Color Combination
Stylist Erin Walsh, who has worked with Anne since 2019, completed the outfit with pink Aquazzura heels featuring red tips.
The actress also wore drop earrings and a stack of bracelets on her left wrist. Her brunette hair was pulled into a sleek ponytail, while her vibrant red lipstick coordinated with the crimson fabric hidden beneath her top.
The finished look mixed several contrasting elements, including couture and denim, softness and structure, and pale blue with bold red.
Pregnancy Feels Different This Time
Anne, 43, is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman. The couple already shares sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 7.
Speaking with People at the premiere, Anne explained that this pregnancy has felt different from her previous experiences.
“I was in my 30s with my other two, and I’m so different now,” she said.
Anne added that turning 40 changed her perspective on life.
“I just realized that this isn’t a dress rehearsal. It’s all real,” she said. That realization has encouraged her to remain present, live with gratitude and avoid taking important moments for granted.
Anne Hathaway Is Grateful for Her Growing Family
The actress has also spoken candidly about becoming pregnant in her 40s and the uncertainty that accompanied the experience.
Anne told “Access Hollywood” that she and Adam kept their expectations realistic while remaining open to wherever life took them.
“We’re overjoyed because we just know from personal experience that not everybody gets this,” she said.
The actress acknowledged that pregnancy does not always happen when someone hopes it will, and for some people, it may not happen at all.
Finding Another Gear After 40
Anne’s growing family comes during an especially busy professional chapter. The actress is reportedly releasing five movies in 2026 while attending premieres and promotional events around the world.
She recently told Harper’s Bazaar that aging has brought unexpected fulfillment.
“I wasn’t expecting to find another gear at 40,” Anne admitted.
Her latest maternity look appeared to reflect that confident outlook. By combining a dramatic designer creation with laid-back jeans, Anne proved that pregnancy style does not need to follow a traditional red carpet formula.
