While filming a tour for the set of “Hope Valley: 1874,” actor Benjamin Ayres, who plays Tom Moore in the upcoming series, shared an unexpected moment with two Hallmark stars who just so happened to make the video even more hunkier than it was before!
As Ayres opened a barn door, “When Calls the Heart” co-stars Chris McNally and Kevin McGarry popped out to surprise Ayres, prompting him to tease the duo about being on the set for a show they aren’t filming.

Because “Hope Valley: 1874” is the prequel to “WCTH,” the two shows use the same film set at the MacInnes Farm in Langley, British Columbia, Canada.
“This takes place before Hope Valley, before Coal Valley, before it even had a name,” Ayres explained to McNally and McGarry, referencing Hope Valley’s predecessor’s name.
Ayres continued to explain how Bethany Joy Lenz’s character, Rebecca Clarke, “buys a boarding house,” adding, “She’s come to essentially board all the prospectors that I don’t even want on my land.”
