Ryan Paevey Says He’s Filming New Movie 2 Years After Acting Hiatus: ‘Never Been More Tired’

Hallmark leading man Ryan Paevey, 41, shared an exciting update with his fans, explaining that he’ll be filming for a new movie within the next week. Paevey shared news of his next steps in an Instagram video from Sunday, March 15, where he also opened up about how hectic the last month has been.

“I have shot more stuff for films and television in the last few months than I’ve ever shot in my life, which is cool if you want to watch stuff that I’ve shot for film and television. It’s not so great if you were hoping for jewelry!” the actor said.

Paevey emphasized in his video that because he has been away in Los Angeles filming and now will be leaving again to film a movie for the next month, his scheduled March release for his Fortunate Wanderer Collection will not be available. “I don’t have enough stuff. I’ve just been filming, like, mad,” he said.

“I’ve never been more tired in my life… please bear with me while I try to figure out all the things,” he noted as he shared that his newest collection for Fortunate Wanderer, which will include jewelry, photography and apparel, will roll out on June 28.

Paevey elaborated on his next steps regarding acting and what fans can expect for Fortunate Wanderer in the video’s caption. “Bit of an update guys. I haven’t been home for more than 24 hours in a while, and I got a day and a half this weekend!” he wrote. “I probably should have spent it working, but surfed with my two best friends and saw mom instead.”

“…SO, the March collection for Wanderer is gonna get rolled into the June collection, sorry about that… things have been hectic,” he added. “New collection date is now June 28th, and the timer on the website now reflects that. We are also dropping a new YouTube episode this week, l’m headed off to shoot a new movie the week after that.”

Paevey said that once he’s done filming, he’ll be enjoying time away with his friends and dad, writing, “aaaaaand….planning an adventure with the three amigos and my dad end of May. Lots of exciting stuffs, thanks for bearing with me!”

Why Did Ryan Paevey Stop Acting in 2024?

Notably, Paevey stepped away from acting in 2024 to prioritize his mental health and wellness. In April of that year, he explained in an X post, reported on by Woman’s World, that the entertainment industry had let him down and he needed time to himself.

“I may take 2024 off from filming, unless the project is with friends,” he wrote at the time. “The last 8 months of life in this industry have left a pretty bitter taste in my mouth, and i need some time away from a world so full of fake friends and empty promises. I’m weary.”

He made his return to television in September 2025 on “General Hospital” to reprise his character as Nathan West despite being killed off in 2018. Now, though, he’s completely back and ready to film in both film and television.

After hearing he’s filming for a new movie, Paevey’s fans expressed their excitement in the comments of his Instagram video.

“Yay! So happy to see you getting back to doing more tv and film! Cant wait to watch,” wrote one.

“So excited to see you back on TV! You have been missed!!!” said another.

Many fans also asked Paevey if he’ll be returning to the Hallmark Channel after suggesting he had to “patch” things up with the network, prompting him to respond, “didn’t realize they were torn, haha. No clue when I’ll be back on hallmark, but I’m ready when they are :).”

Although he was vague about what movie he will be darting off to film for the next month, one thing is for sure, and it’s that Ryan Paevey is back in action!
