Fans of “The Flip Off,” it’s time to get excited!
Filming for season two of the hit HGTV show is officially underway.
Tarek and Heather El Moussa put up a joint Instagram post along with Christina Haack announcing that production on the design competition show has begun.
The Instagram video shows all three, alongside Christina’s boyfriend Chris Larocca, mouthing the words to a viral TikTok as they sip Christina’s just-launched champagne brand Clé Cachée- which translates to “hidden key.”
The post’s caption reads, “Filming the first day of season 2 of The Flip Off!! @clecacheechampagne required 🥂🍾🖤🗝️
Ready or not: here we come!”
Fans Wait to Hear If There Will Be a Team Shakeup
According to a press release by HGTV parent company Warner Bros Discovery, season one of “The Flip Off” was HGTV’s highest-rated freshman series among Adults 25-54 since 2022.
The six-episode season attracted nearly 14 million total viewers across linear and streaming.
The question is, will the show repeat the same formula for “The Flip Off” season two, or will there be a shakeup in teams?
The Instagram video announcing that production had begun gave nothing away about that.
And HGTV’s official announcement about season two reads, “Teams will compete to see who can find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain. Having learned her lessons from last season, Christina will throw out the rule book and do everything she can to beat Tarek and Heather at the flipping game. But they won’t give up their crown easily in an all-out battle to see who can win Round 2 of The Flip Off.”
But Instagram posts by the series’ three stars are hinting at a flip in “The Flip Off.”
Heather El Moussa Says She’d Welcome a Chance to Team Up With Christina Haack
Heather El Moussa has hinted at her desire to flip the script on “The Flip Off” for season two in the past.
In an interview with People, Heather says she’d love to team up with Christina Haack. She says she’s happy for the so-called “King of Flipping” to fly solo in the competition. “I think that it would be super fun. I think that people would love to see Christina and I working together and beating my husband because he thinks that he could beat us, especially in a design contest,” Heather enthused.
In fact, she’s even discussed the idea with Tarek.
She told People, “The other night, I was picking on [Tarek] about something and we were going back and forth. He’s like, ‘I could beat you guys,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, really? You think you could beat us in a design-off?’ And he said, ‘Yes.’”
Heather says she responded with dismay, saying, “Are you crazy? Against two designers?!”
Heather also believes the team swap could be an interesting twist from a design perspective.
“I’m so up for the challenge. And it’d be interesting to see how Christina and I work together and design together.”
In fact, since working with Christina Haack on “The Flip Off,” Heather and Christina have formed a tight bond of friendship that has made navigating their blended family much easier.
Tarek and Heather even go on family vacations with their kids, Christina and her boyfriend Chris Larocca.
