It’s a big day for the music fans. MTV has officially announced the nominees for the 2026 Video Music Awards (VMAs). Fans can vote for this year’s awards show on vote.mtv.com now until September 25 at 6 p.m. ET.
Madonna, who previously won 19 Moon Person Awards, leads this year’s nominees with 11 nominations. Taylor Swift, who has won 30 Moon Person Awards throughout her career, sits behind Madonna at nine nominations.
Other notable contenders include Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars, PinkPantheress, Zara Larsson, Shakira, Tate McRae, Cardi B, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli xcx, Sombr, and more.
This year’s MTV VMAs will air live on Sunday, September 27 on the CBS Television Network. Additionally, audiences in the United States can watch it simulcast on MTV and Paramount+. Global audiences can also watch it on Paramount+ and MTV the next day.
