‘Stranger Things’ Star is Unrecognizable After Amazing Physical Transformation

Stranger Things” star Eduardo Franco has gone through a remarkable physical transformation thanks to a fitness regimen that has left him almost unrecognizable. The actor, who is best known for his role as Argyle in the Netflix hit series, has shared a video on his social media accounts that shows how much his appearance has changed in recent weeks as he prepares for a new role.

Eduardo Franco Goes Through a Serious Physical Transformation After Hitting the Gym

The actor shared an Instagram video from S10 Training, a state-of-the-art training center based in New York City, that shows him with a toned appearance after hitting up the gym for several months in preparation for an upcoming film.

While Franco didn’t reveal exactly what movie he was training for, he did explain why he decided he needed to start a fitness program with personal trainer Stephen Cheuk.

“On July 14th, I got the word that I got this job. The script’s first scene, where my character appears in, is in the very beginning of the movie and my character is shirtless. I said, ‘Well, I’d like to look as lean as possible for that scene,’” he shared in the video. Franco then added, “It was super dope.”

Meanwhile, the fitness center also added a caption to its post that reads, “3 months of hard work, discipline and S10 got @dumbuardo lean and mean for his movie role.”

Franco will be familiar to any fans of “Stranger Things” as he portrayed Argyle in the fourth season of the show. The character is the best friend of Jonathan Byers and notably operated as a delivery driver for Surfer Boy Pizza. He played a pivotal role in saving Jonathan, Will, Mike, and Agent Harmon when they were attacked in Lenora Hills and helped them escape back to Hawkins.

He has also had roles in other films and television projects. These include “American Vandal,” “Booksmart,” “Gabby’s Dollhouse,” and “Y2K.”

His “Stranger Things” co-stars commented on the post to show their support and appreciation for his effort. Finn Wolfhard posted three clapping hands emoji and Caleb McLaughlin simply said, “oh [expletive].”

Natalia Dyer Reflects on Their ‘Stranger Things’ Ending

Speaking in an interview in early January, actor Natalia Dyer spoke about how she feels after having said goodbye to her character Nancy Wheeler in “Stranger Things.”

“I mean, the finale really kind of felt a bit like an action movie at times, just so wildly different from things that we were doing in Season 1,” she said. “Getting to live with these characters and grow with these characters and have them in these bigger and bigger scenarios has been so fun, such a training ground, such a fun place to grow up and grow as an actor.”

She continued, “I mean, it’s kind of surreal. Yeah, I’m happy that it’s out, happy that we’re not sitting on all this information anymore. But also, the word that keeps getting [tossed around is] it’s so bittersweet. It’s like a real final goodbye. So, yeah, we’ll probably be processing our feelings for a long time.”
