Margaret Josephs announced her departure from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” in March 2026. At the time, she teased a new project in the works. However, in addition to her rumored Prime Video series, she was recently seen filming for E!’s RHONY offshoot, “The Golden Life.” Now, she’s opening up about it.
Regarding Josephs time on RHONJ, she joined the show in 2017 for its eighth season. She then left ahead of production for season 15, which will include Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giudice, and Dolores Catania.

GettyJosephs was one of many beloved reality stars who attended the Vulture Reality Masterminds Celebration at The Lawn Club in May 2026. While there, she spoke to US Weekly and was asked about the recent photos of her with the cast of “The Golden Life.”
Josephs said, “Maybe I did a little stint in Palm Beach,” referring to where the bulk of the upcoming E! series is filmed, featuring RHONY alums Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Dorinda Medley, and Kelly Bensimon.
After calling Florida “warm” and “fun,” Josephs stated, “I was with iconic women that I always love. They’re my friends. I admire them.”
Regarding what fans can expect from “The Golden Life,” the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum said, “I think that’s going to be a very spectacular show. I think it’s going to be a really spectacular show.”
The RHONJ Alum Announced Her Exit Via Video
As mentioned, Josephs announced in late March 2026 that she would not be returning to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Notably, she did so by talking to her fans via an emotional yet straightforward video.
She said on Instagram, “Hi guys, it’s the Marge, I’m dialing in. I have to tell you something that might come as a little surprise to you, but not for me. I’ve been thinking about a lot of things, and I am moving on from “The Housewives of New Jersey.'”
After that, the RHONJ fan-favorite revealed she’s “been in talks with the network and Andy since December.” After that, she stated that “the timing is right” and that she needs to spend more time with her family.
That’s not all. Josephs also teased a new show, which she was on the set of when she recorded and uploaded her RHONJ exit. After thanking Andy Cohen, Bravo, and NBCUniversal, she added, “This will not be the last you guys see of me on television.”
Several weeks later, she opened up while on the “Yacht Mess” podcast. When asked why he decided to leave the show, Josephs began, “You know, I’m very calm. I’m at peace. This has been a long time coming.” She continued, saying she “did a lot of soul searching, a lot of thinking about it” during the show’s hiatus.
Josephs then said, “And it’s the best decision for me. I’m a girl who doesn’t leave when the lights go on at a party. I leave when the lights are still off.”
