Could wedding bells finally be ringing for “The Voice” coach Reba McEntire? The country music legend is opening up about her approach to marrying fiancé Rex Linn, which is shockingly very relaxed. In fact, the couple may stay engaged way longer than fans expected.
Reba also talked about what their eventual wedding ceremony would look like, including the role their beloved animals would play. She even dropped a bigger twist, hinting that she could someday return to “The Voice” alongside Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton.
‘Low-Key Wedding Plans’
Extra caught up with Reba in her hometown of Atoka, Oklahoma. McEntire said she was “totally happy” with her life, as they talked with her inside her very own restaurant, Reba’s Place.
Reba discussed her “low-key wedding plans” with Linn. The couple has been engaged since Christmas Eve 2024. However, it looks like it could be a while before they walk down the aisle.
Reba told Extra, “They’re kind of being pushed every time Rex gets a job because he always says work comes first. Heck, we might be engaged 30 years before we get married, but we’re okay with that, too.”
The couple doesn’t have a date yet, but Reba did say the celebration will be “kind of in between” a big celebration and a small one. She said, “It’ll be low-key, lots of friends and family.”
Going To the Dogs
It looks like this wedding planning will be heading to the dogs. Not in a bad way, but with Reba and Rex including their dogs in the ceremony.
Reba stated, “I have two granddogs, Watson and Belle, so they may be the ring bearers or something like that, but we have to have our animals there. We’ve got longhorns and donkeys, horses and everything there at the place, cats, and we just, we have a lot of fun with them.”
Despite no wedding date set, she did state, “I am totally happy, I really am. Loving life, enjoy what I do.”
Reba Not Part of ‘The Voice’ Season 30
During the interview with Extra, the reporter said her dream panel for “The Voice” would be Reba, Kelly, and Blake. Reba replied, “Oh wow, that’d be fun. You never know. Wishes do come true.”
Wishes may come true for some people, but it won’t happen this fall. NBC has already announced the coaches for Season 30 of “The Voice,” which will air in the fall of 2026.
For this new season, the coaches will be Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Riley Green, and Queen Latifah. Talk about a pretty awesome panel, right? Fans definitely had words to say about it once the big announcement was made.
While Reba may not be a part of Season 30 of “The Voice,” it looks like part of the show will always be with her. That’s because Reba has her big red chair from her time on the show on display at her restaurant.
Fans can take pictures in the chair, which is cool to see. But for now, that big red chair will remain in her restaurant and won’t be making a comeback to “The Voice” stage anytime soon.
