“The Voice” Season 30 is back with another round of Battles. And yep, the competition is getting tougher as the Artists fight to stay on their Coaches’ teams. Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green are making some difficult decisions as their singers go head-to-head. After several nights of impressive performances, it seems like picking a winner is only going to get harder.
Let’s be real, these Battles can be rough when both Artists bring something special to the stage. One singer has to move forward, but that doesn’t mean the other one is out of options. Queen Latifah has the last steal available during this round, so there’s still a chance for one more Artist to get a second shot at the competition. Honestly, that final steal could make for an interesting decision if someone catches her attention.
While the Blind Auditions gave us plenty of talented singers to root for, now the Artists have to prove they can hold their own against someone on their own team. Each Battle brings a new matchup, more Coach feedback, and another decision that could leave fans cheering (or wishing things had gone differently).

Before the Battles Begin… The Coaches Sing
Before the Artists even stepped into the spotlight for their Battles, the four Coaches got to share a stage and show off their own chemistry. The episode kicked off with a special Coaches concert moment, as they joined forces to perform “The Weight” by The Band. It seems like a fun way to open the night before the competition gets tough again.
Battle #1: Team Queen
Mia Knight faced off against Sophia Liano, singing “Never Enough” from the 2017 film, “The Greatest Showman.”
- Kelly Clarkson actually stood up near the end of the performance, almost looking like she wanted to join them onstage. She called Sophia’s tone “incredible” and said it was “neck in neck for her” until Mia added a specific run that changed everything.
- Riley Green was blown away, saying, “That was shocking. I didn’t know people sang like that in real life.” He praised Sophia’s tone as awesome and described Mia’s range as “insane.”
- Adam Levine also thought both Artists were incredible, praising Mia’s maturity and Sophia’s tone.
Queen Latifah chose… Mia Knight as the winner of this Battle.
- Eliminated: Sophia Liano
Battle #2: Team Riley
Brayden Howell faced off against Cade Mower, singing “Wondering Why” by The Red Clay Strays.
- Adam Levine called Cade “very impressive” but said his voice was “challenged by the bigger band behind him.” He also praised Brayden’s style, saying it was all his own.
- Kelly Clarkson thought “it was a great song to pick.” She loved Brayden’s voice and style while calling Cade’s vocals “insane.”
- Queen Latifah was impressed by Cade, calling his voice “unique” and saying Brayden gave him a “run for his money.”
Riley Green chose… Cade Mower as the winner of this Battle.

Battle #3: Team Adam
Marilyn Hucek faced off against Lexi Stephens, singing “All I Wanted” by Paramore.
- Kelly Clarkson called Marilyn a “sneaky, sly fox with her vocals” and described Lexi as a “mountain lion” who was “ferocious.”
- Riley Green thought Lexi had “the perfect volume” and loved the high notes she hit. However, he thought Marilyn was a bit better and said he was leaning toward her.
- Queen Latifah was blown away by the performance, saying, “You got me out my chair.” She praised Lexi’s lower register, calling it “mean,” and also noted that Marilyn’s tone was great.
Adam Levine chose… Lexi Stephens as the winner of this Battle.
- Eliminated: Marilyn Hucek
Battle #4: Team Kelly
Brooklyn Marie faced off against Kavi Nyx, singing “Titanium” by David Guetta & Sia.
- Adam Levine confirmed Brooklyn was 14 years old and described her as “sweet and beautiful” in her higher register. He also praised Kavi for her runs and for “representing her culture.”
- Riley Green thanked both Artists for “sharing their gift” and encouraged Kavi to “keep making everything her own.” He also told Brooklyn her voice was going “to blow people away.”
- Queen Latifah was impressed by both singers, calling them “wonderful” and expressing hope that they were “growing and learning.”
Kelly Clarkson chose… Brooklyn Marie as the winner of this Battle.
- Eliminated: Kavi Nyx
Battle #5: Team Adam
Destinee Monroe faced off against Dakota Cohen, singing “Bring Me to Life” by Evanescence.
- Kelly Clarkson said Destinee approached the song in a unique way and that Dakota had “a different approach.” If she had to pick a winner, she said she was leaning toward Dakota.
- Riley Green called it “the most powerful performance of the show.” He admitted, “I don’t know how you pick.”
- Queen Latifah immediately declared, “That is what I’m talking about.” She said the Artists did a great job and “performed the h*** out of it.” Then noted she wanted to “see more.”
Adam Levine chose…. Dakota Cohen as the winner of this Battle.
- Eliminated: None — Queen Latifah jokingly told Destinee, “Don’t say anything else,” before hitting her steal button to bring her onto Team Queen.
