Andy Cohen Speaks Out on ‘Summer House’ Reunion: ‘Deep Anger’ & ‘Deep Hurt’

All eyes have been on the hit Bravo show “Summer House” since news broke that West Wilson and Amanda Batula were dating. The Season 10 reunion filmed last week, and host Andy Cohen has given fans more insight into the emotional day.

‘Summer House’ Season 10 Reunion Was ‘Emotionally Draining’

Cohen opened up about the day of filming the highly anticipated reunion on his Radio Andy Show.

“Thursday was the Summer House reunion. And I have to say it was truly not only one of the most emotional reunions that we have ever shot, but it was one of the most emotionally draining. There were so many emotions on that stage. Deep anger, deep hurt,” he expressed.

The “Watch What Happens Live” host shared that the cameras started rolling around 10:30 in the morning and didn’t stop until 8:30 at night. There was a one-hour lunch break, but other than that, for almost nine hours, the cast was hashing things out, and it was heated.

Cohen explained that what happened with Batula and Wilson has sent shockwaves through the “Summer House” friend group. Even he didn’t realize just how much until he saw them together, facing off.

“It really has caused shockwaves through the group in waves that I didn’t even realize until I sat there looking in their faces and hearing from some of these housemates. It was very intense,” Cohen explained.

When the day was over, Cohen admitted he went home to have a cocktail and destress, but his “body was so unsettled” from the day’s events all night long. Then Cohen woke to hear about the infamous reunion audio leak, which did not help his stress level.

Along with Batula and Wilson, Ciara Miller, Kyle Cooke, Carl Radke, Lindsay Hubbard, Jesse Solomon, Mia Calabrese, KJ Dillard, Dara Levitan, Levi Sebree, Bailey Taylor, and Ben Waddell were on hand at the reunion to dish the season.

The trajectory of the reunion shifted the second Batula, and Wilson went public with their relationship.

Andy Cohen’s Initial ‘Summer House’ Season 10 Reunion Reaction

What Cohen said on his radio show aligns with what he said immediately after filming the “Summer House” reunion. In a video, Cohen admitted he has hosted around 150 Bravo reunions during his career before spilling that this one was rough.

“This was one of the most intense we have ever shot,” he shared, adding, “This was a lot. This was a lot. It was very intense, you guys. Every question was asked. Every question was asked.”

While the drama was certainly front and center, filming the reunion. Hours after filming for the “Summer House” Season 10 reunion wrapped, more drama erupted when an audio clip from the reunion was leaked.

Bravo conducted an investigation and took action on the matter, confirming that it was not a cast member who leaked the audio, featuring Batula and Wilson in the hot seat.

“Summer House” Season 10 finale airs on Tuesday, May 19, along with the premiere of the spin-off show “The City”. The multi-part reunion will begin airing on Tuesday, May 26.

It has not yet been confirmed how many parts the reunion will have. However, when Scandoval broke, “Vanderpump Rules” had a three-part reunion, so “Summer House” will likely be the same number.
