Jenna Johnson Reveals Her Dream Celebrity Partner for ‘Dancing With the Stars’

World-class Latin and ballroom dancer, choreographer, and “Dancing with the Stars” professional Jenna Johnson has revealed who her dream celebrity partner on the reality dance competition show would be.

Johnson, 32, first appeared on the show in 2016 for season 2023, when she was partnered with actor Jake T. Austin. She has since partnered with figure skater Adam Rippon for season 26, reality star Joe Amabile for season 27, television personality Karamo Brown for season 28, television host Nev Schulman for season 29, singer and actress JoJo Siwa for season 30, model and actor Tyson Beckford for season 32, and reality star Joey Graziadei (who now hosts the official “Dancing with the Stars” podcast) for season 33.

Her best results were with Rippon and Graziadei. She won the competition with them both and took away the iconic Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.

The talented star has now revealed she’d like to partner up with a football player. Moreover, she has a very specific one on her wish list.

In an exclusive interview with Parade, Jenna Johnson revealed to the popular outlet that her dream celebrity partner for a future season of “Dancing with the Stars” is none other than Jason Kelce.

Kelce, 38, is, of course, the older brother of fellow professional football player and the husband of Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce.

The older Kelce, who now works as an analyst for ESPN, was a center who spent his entire career with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League.

Johnson clearly thinks his skills would translate well to the dancefloor, as she told Parade, “Jason Kelce would be perfect. I have yet to have an NFL player.”

She added, “I haven’t had a football player and they’re always some of my favorite contestants on the show. Just because they understand hard work and they are so motivated and they know, like, game day vibes and so I just feel like they always produce great performances. We’ll see. An NFL-er or an athlete, always super fun.”

The dancer isn’t wrong. Four football stars have won “Dancing with the Stars” over the years. They are Emmitt Smith in season 3, Hines Ward in season 12, Donald Driver in season 14, and Rashad Jennings in season 24.

There’s no indication that Kelce has signed up for the show for the upcoming season 35. However, Johnson will have her fingers crossed that he will at some point. More to the point, she’ll be hoping she gets paired with him now that she’s admitted he’s her dream celebrity partner.

Season 35 of “Dancing with the Stars” is only three weeks away and the celebrity cast is looking intriguing.

The full official list of contestants will be formally announced on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, 2 September. However, so far, it includes the likes of reality stars Ciara Miller and Maura Higgins, baseball player Jackson Olson, and talk show personality Guillermo Rodriguez (per People).

Only Guillermo Rodriguez has officially been paired with a professional at this point. He’ll be dancing with the wonderful Witney Carson.

Jenna Johnson and her husband, fellow professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy, 40, are indeed both expected to participate. They should be paired with their new celebrity partners in due course. Hopefully they both end up happy with who they get!

We’ll look forward to the return of “Dancing with the Stars.” It’ll be exciting to discover who’s paired with who this year. There’s a special two-night premiere on Tuesday, 15 September, and Wednesday, 16 September. The show will broadcast live on ABC and stream on Disney+.
