There’s no doubt that sheer fashion is going strong — just ask Jenna Ortega, Dakota Johnson, Charli XCX and Lizzo. However, there’s another sleek style that’s sizzling with the Hollywood crowd. That happens to be ensembles with no pants — and Demi Lovato is right on trend.
“While wearing underwear out and about may seem impractical, Hollywood’s It Girls including Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Jodie Turner-Smith and more have flawlessly pulled it off — while making it look chic,” according to Us Weekly.
As for Lovato, she opted to go without pants while attending the Coperni show on October 6, during Paris Fashion Week.
Wearing a black bodysuit with long sleeves and a high neck, the star also wore dark tights that were rather sheer and appeared to have one little pouch on each side. Along with a fuzzy green wrap, she also opted for black heels to complete the outfit.
Lovato Revealed How Her Beauty Standards Have Changed
GettyLovato is certainly willing to make a statement at fashion events these days. However, she has admitted in the past that her beauty standards and confidence have changed over the years.
“I grew up in the era of socialites and celebrities that were very, very, very thin and sickly. That was the look at the time. And my [personal] beauty standards were high because of that,” Lovato told Fashionista in March 2024. “As I’ve gotten older and been in the public eye more, my views of beauty and beauty standards have lowered because I’ve realized that it’s about how you feel within rather than how you look on the outside. I realized that those celebrities and socialites are humans and I’m human and I’m not going to look perfect. Nobody is.”
“Sometimes, you have to fake it ’til you make it,” she added. “If I’m having a moment where I don’t feel that great about my body, I’m still practicing and taking all the steps that I need to take in order to feel the best that I can.”
Lovato Has Opened Up About When She Feels ‘Most Beautiful’
GettyLovato’s fashion choices have changed over the years, and that’s something that she’s willing to admit and reflect on.
“When I got older, I started playing with my hair more since I wasn’t able to when I was younger because I was going on auditions for acting jobs. So, I kind of suppressed that expressive side of me at a young age,” Lovato said while talking to Fashionista. “I ended up playing with every [hair] color there was. I even shaved half of my head and then I buzzed my whole head. I’m not particularly attached to my hair, so I’ve been having fun playing with it over the years.”
Beyond that, she talked about how her use of makeup has changed. She explained: “I used to wear a ton of makeup and I put a lot of pressure on myself because of what other people were saying about me online. Now that I’m older, I believe that less is more. Of course, there are times when I’m going to doll myself up if I have a big red carpet or a concert, but I feel my most beautiful now when I’m in no makeup and wearing sweatpants.”
