Gwyneth Paltrow is soaking up the final weeks of summer with her daughter, Apple Martin, and fans are getting a peek at their relaxing time together. The 53-year-old Oscar winner shared a carousel of photos to her social media showing off some of her summer highlights so far. One of the photos featured Paltrow with her 22-year-old lookalike daughter enjoying the sunshine together.

Paltrow shared the carousel of photos to her Instagram page with the caption, “Summer, so far so good.”
For their time in the sun, Paltrow wore a plunging black one-piece swimsuit and sunglasses. The “Shakespeare in Love” actress went makeup-free, keeping things casual while relaxing next to her daughter.
Meanwhile, her “twin” daughter opted for a red-and-white striped string bikini, while both women showed off their blonde hair and similar features.
This wasn’t the only laid-back look for Paltrow in the carousel of photos. In another photo, it looks like the Goop founder is topless, posing with some snacks.
While Paltrow has spent decades in Hollywood, Apple is just getting started with her career and trying to make a name for herself. She is definitely following a very familiar career path as her mother.
Apple Martin Is Following In Her Mom’s Footsteps
Apple, whose father is Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, is preparing to make her movie debut in “Paris Paramount.”
While her role in the movie hasn’t been announced, Apple was recently seen filming the romantic comedy in Los Angeles with Owen Wilson.
There is an interesting family connection going on here, too. In 2001, Wilson starred with Paltrow in “The Royal Tenenbaums.”
“Paris Paramount” comes from director Nancy Meyers, whose movies include “The Parent Trap,” “Something’s Gotta Give,” and “What Women Want.”
This upcoming movie has a packed, A-List cast, which includes Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, Erin Doherty, Tony Hale, and Beverly D’Angelo.
No Stranger to Being In Front of the Camera
While Apple will be making her acting debut soon, she is no stranger to being in front of the camera. She has already done some modeling work for major brands, including Gap and Chloé. Apple also tried her hand at music before she decided that acting was more her speed.
Apple spoke with Vogue in February, telling them she had moved past her “rebellious” phase of not wanting to follow in her famous parents’ footsteps.
She told Vogue, “I don’t wanna be a singer.” While she enjoys musical theater, she said the idea of singing alone onstage is “so terrifying.”
Acting definitely runs in the Paltrow family. Her grandmother is Blythe Danner, making Apple the third generation to pursue acting.
Co-Parenting Wins
Paltrow and Chris Martin were married in 2003. Then in 2014, the duo announced their famous “conscious uncoupling.” Their divorce was then finalized in 2016.
While the couple did go their separate ways, they have remained close while raising Apple and their 20-year-old son, Moses.
After that breakup, Paltrow went on to marry TV producer Brad Falchuk in 2018. They blended their families.
With Apple stepping more and more into the spotlight, fans may soon be seeing so much of her. Judging by these latest summer photos, though, there’s still plenty of time for mother-daughter days away from the camera.
