Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is set to return for its 17th season on April 5. This time, joining the cast is platinum-selling songstress and former “Love & Hip Hop” star K. Michelle. Now, longtime RHOA star Porsha Williams is opening up about their connection in a newly released clip from season 17.
Bravo released the first six minutes of the RHOA season 17 premiere on the morning of March 30. Not only does it feature Williams and Michelle, but it also features fan-favorite Angela Oakley with her husband, NBA legend Charles Oakley.
Porsha Williams Has a Long History with K. Michelle
GettyWilliams rejoined “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” for its 16th season after having left following season 13. Now, in the extended first look at RHOA season 17, fans can see her with newbie Michelle. In the clip, Williams shows up to one of the singer’s photoshoots for her now-released country single, “Jack Daniel’s.”
Williams says in the scene, “So, I have known K. Michelle through the years. Our worlds kind of have been parallel. People always think we look alike.” After that, she said they had worked on a movie together and that she loves Michelle’s music.
From there, Michelle introduces herself, noting that she’s a mom, a singer, an actress, and a songwriter. She also referred to herself as a “mood changer.” The ladies then had a conversation about Michelle’s foray into country music after starting her career as an R&B singer. She also revealed to Williams that she’d recently gotten married.
During the conversation, Williams also gave an update on her divorce, which had recently been finalized when they filmed the scene.
Bravo Recently Released the RHOA Season 17 Trailer
Bravo released the trailer for season 17 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in February 2026. This season, the show also features returning stars Drew Sidora, Phaedra Parks, Shamea Morton, and Kelli Ferrell. RHOA fan-favorite Cynthia Bailey will appear as an official friend of the show, and restaurateur Pinky Cole is also joining as a full-time cast member.
The RHOA season 17 trailer not only shows the changing dynamics among the cast, including the feud between Sidora and Michelle, but also teases trips to Dallas and Scotland. The trailer also features Williams as she dives back into the dating world following her much-talked-about divorce from Simon Guobadia.
