Breaking Bread With the Enemy? ‘General Hospital’ Fans Spot the Irony in Trina’s Latest Conversation

“General Hospital” fans recently watched Brook Lynn Quartermaine lend a listening ear to Trina Robinson as she vented about her father’s trial for assaulting Dr. Isaiah Gannon. However, little does Trina know that she may be breaking bread with someone who knows more about her father’s accident than she realizes.

While viewers continue to speculate about who was behind the wheel of the other car that night, some fans aren’t convinced Brook Lynn would even have anything to apologize for if the theories prove true. Read on to see what “General Hospital” fans had to say.

Did Brook Lynn Really Do Anything Wrong?

As “General Hospital” fans will remember, Curtis Ashford punched Isaiah following an altercation at the Metro Court. Curtis remains convinced that Isaiah was the driver involved in the accident that left him and Jordan Ashford injured, with Jordan suffering significant burns.

During a recent conversation in the Quartermaine kitchen, Trina opened up to Brook Lynn, Harrison Chase, and Gio Palmieri about her father’s ongoing ordeal. She explained that Curtis will never be able to let the accident go until he can prove Isaiah was responsible.

However, viewers know there is more to the story than Curtis realizes.

Curtis and Jordan were sharing a kiss in the moments leading up to the crash, meaning Jordan wasn’t fully focused on the road when their vehicle veered off course. Curtis’ anger, however, is also rooted in his belief that the other driver saw their vehicle flip and chose not to stop and help.

Meanwhile, some fans have begun to suspect that Brook Lynn may actually have been the mystery driver involved in the incident.

“GH” stars Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson recently took to their Stone Cold and the Jackal social media pages to address the growing theory, asking fans, “CURTAINS: When The Truth Outs – And It Has To Out EVENTUALLY – Will Chase, Gio, And Trina Be Able To Forgive Brook Lynn?”

However, plenty of viewers immediately pushed back against the idea that Brook Lynn would even need forgiveness.

“Brooklyn DID NOTHING WRONG. Jordan and Curtis were doing wrong,” one fan argued.

Another viewer similarly maintained that Curtis and Jordan caused their own crash, even if Brook Lynn ultimately turns out to have witnessed what happened.

“Once again, Brooklyn did not cause the accident. Curtis and Jordan did. Did she possibly see it? Yes,” the fan wrote, arguing that while stopping to help would have been the right thing to do, that doesn’t necessarily make Brook Lynn responsible for the crash itself.

Others placed much of the blame on Jordan for being distracted behind the wheel.

“First of all, Jordan wasn’t paying 100% attention. She was kissing Curtis,” one viewer pointed out, questioning whether anyone had even proven another vehicle swerved into their lane.

Another fan argued that Jordan nearly drove into the other vehicle before overcorrecting and causing the accident herself, calling Curtis “ridiculous” for continuing to blame the mystery driver.

“Nothing to forgive because Jordan and Curtis caused their own accident!” another viewer declared.

‘General Hospital’ Fans Aren’t Convinced Brook Lynn Was the Other Driver

Of course, the entire debate may be getting ahead of itself.

While clues have led some viewers to suspect Brook Lynn was involved in Curtis and Jordan’s accident, her role in what happened has yet to be definitively revealed. Some fans think another recent storyline could provide an entirely different explanation.

“It probably wasn’t her – Charlotte and Danny got into an accident and Carly fixed the car,” one viewer theorized.

Another fan raised the same possibility, writing, “We don’t know for certain if Brook Lynn was involved. What about Charlotte and Danny? Carly had the car fixed.”

Charlotte Cassadine and Danny Morgan’s own car accident has left some viewers wondering whether their vehicle could somehow be connected to the mystery surrounding Curtis and Jordan’s crash.

Other “GH” fans simply aren’t ready to point the finger at anyone yet.

“No one knows who caused the accident. It could be anyone at this point,” one viewer argued, before once again noting that Curtis and Jordan had taken their eyes off the road.

Until “General Hospital” reveals exactly who was behind the wheel of the other vehicle, Brook Lynn’s involvement remains a theory. However, her recent conversation with Trina certainly becomes much more complicated if fans’ suspicions eventually prove correct.

Is Trina Really in a Position to Judge Brook Lynn?

If Brook Lynn does eventually turn out to have been involved, Burton and Anderson’s question remains: Will Trina be able to forgive her?

Some viewers think Trina may want to consider the major secret she is keeping before passing judgment on anyone else.

As “General Hospital” fans know, Trina and Kai Taylor know that Willow Cain shot Drew Cain, but the pair have yet to come forward with the information. That leaves Trina sitting on potentially explosive information about a shooting while simultaneously wanting answers about what really happened to her father.

“Trina has no right to judge. She is withholding information about a shooting,” one fan argued.

Another viewer similarly suggested that Trina should be willing to forgive Brook Lynn if her involvement in the accident eventually comes to light.

“Trina has no reason not to forgive considering what she and Kai are hiding,” the fan commented.

The situation could ultimately put Trina and Brook Lynn in surprisingly similar positions. Brook Lynn may be hiding information about the night Curtis and Jordan crashed, while Trina is already keeping a major secret about Drew’s shooting.

Whether Brook Lynn really was the mystery driver remains to be seen, but the truth surrounding Curtis and Jordan’s accident likely won’t stay buried forever. If Brook Lynn is eventually connected to what happened, Trina could find herself confronting someone who kept a major secret involving her family. However, considering what Trina and Kai are hiding about Drew’s shooting, forgiveness may prove to be a two-way street in Port Charles.
