Soap Vet Tamara Braun Celebrates 25 Years in Daytime TV With Fans

Fans of daytime television have watched Tamara Braun bring some of daytime TV’s most memorable characters to life over the past 25 years. From Port Charles and Pine Valley to Salem and Genoa City, the veteran actress has remained a familiar face across multiple iconic daytime dramas.

Now, Braun is celebrating a major career milestone after taking to social media to reflect on her journey throughout daytime television and thank fans for supporting her along the way. Read on to discover what the soap vet had to share.


Tamara Braun Reflects on Her Soap Career Journey

Soap legend Tamara Braun recently took to Instagram to celebrate her 25th anniversary in daytime television. The 55-year-old shared an Instagram Reel in honor of the milestone. She started the video by saying, “Happy Friday! I know I said I would be posting this week in honor of the 25th anniversary of the beginning of my career in soaps.”

The soap star continued, “Life got busy, and I wasn’t able to do it. So, I thought I would do it now.” She also reflected on the choices that shaped her journey, telling fans, “You know, all the choices we make in our lives, whether we think they were the right ones or the wrong ones, we would do things differently if we knew then what we know now. All of the choices lead us to where we are presently, so I am going to start where I am presently.”

The touching post then transitioned into a montage featuring Braun’s recent role on “The Young and the Restless.” Alongside the Reel, the soap veteran captioned the post, “Happy Friday everyone! In honor of my 25 year anniversary of my start in daytime TV I thought I would begin with where my choice to say YES 25 years ago has brought me today. Having so much fun on the @youngandrestlesscbs.”


Fans and Fellow Soap Stars Celebrate Tamara Braun’s Milestone

As soon as Tamara Braun posted her touching video to Instagram, fans and fellow soap stars quickly flooded the comment section with supportive messages.

One fan wrote, “Love you! Congratulations! How can it be 25 years?”

Another chimed in, writing, “Congratulations! An amazing milestone that deserves all the celebration!”

Braun’s “Y&R” co-star, Sharon Case, also showed her support by commenting, “Happy anniversary.”

Fellow co-star Nathan Owens added, “These are awesome!! Congratulations to 25 years of you! Happy to be a part of so many moments. To many more…You’re the best!”


Tamara Braun Built a Career Across Daytime Television

Tamara Braun got her start in daytime television in 2001 on “General Hospital” as Carly Corinthos. She portrayed Carly from 2001 to 2005. She returned to the soap over a decade later, portraying a new character, Dr. Kim Nero, from 2017 to 2019.

After initially leaving Port Charles in 2005, Braun made her way to Pine Valley. During her time on “All My Children,” Braun was part of a groundbreaking storyline as Reese Williams, who was romantically involved with Bianca Montgomery. The storyline ultimately led to one of daytime television’s first same-sex weddings featured on an American soap opera. Braun portrayed Reese from 2008 to 2009.

In addition to her time in Port Charles and Pine Valley, Braun has caused quite a stir in Salem over the years as well. The soap star first joined “Days of Our Lives” as Ava Vitali in 2008. She continued to play the character on and off until 2025. Braun also briefly portrayed the character Taylor Walker on “DOOL” in 2011.

As Braun mentioned in her Instagram video, her latest daytime role has brought her to Genoa City. She has been portraying Sienna Bacall on “The Young and the Restless” since October 2025.

After 25 years in daytime television, Tamara Braun continues to remain one of the genre’s most recognizable and versatile stars. From Port Charles and Pine Valley to Salem and now Genoa City, Braun’s long-running soap career has left a lasting mark on daytime television and its fans.
