Craig Conover and Shep Rose Go Shirtless in Post-Polar Plunge Video Ahead of ‘Southern Charm’ Season 12

Production on season 12 of Bravo’s “Southern Charm” has wrapped, but that doesn’t mean the cast members have all gone their separate ways. Recently, Craig Conover took to social media to document a polar plunge he did with costar Shep Rose, including their immediate reactions to experiencing the extreme cold and their nervousness leading up to it. This comes after Conover teased the upcoming season.

Seemingly immediately after their Polar plunge, Conover can be seen calling Rose over to the camera, saying, “Alright, Shep.” Shep then said, “Yes, we did it. In the treacherous winter in Bondi. The Sewing Down South founder then added, “I will say it was colder than I thought it was going to be.”

The real-life friends and “Southern Charm” costar continued the video with Rose noting how long they plunged at Bondi Beach. He said, “Yeah, it was chilly. We stayed for two minutes,” before Conover added, “Yeah, at least.” After that, the 37-year-old turned the camera, giving a view of the beach.

From there, Conover highlighted what a person on the beach had told them about the intense currents as well as the prevalence of sharks in the water. She then joked, “I told Craig that there was a seal out there, and he got a little nervous nervious.”

Conover then said of Rose, “You got some good ideas this trip,” before the “Southern Charm” costar said, “Australia, baby.” At the end of the view, the men decided to head for coffee before Conover wondered, “Do you think Australia likes us?”

He continued, “And we’re going swimming because Shep’s a masochist.” Rose responded, saying, “I’m not a masochist,” and then noting that he “can’t get in a body of ocean unless it’s Antarctica.” From there, Conover pointed out that “every singer surfer” who was in the ocean had opted to wear a winter suit, highlighting exactly how cold the water would be.

Production on season 12 of “Southern Charm” began in mid-April 2026. From there, filming wrapped in early August. Following the end of production, Conover appeared on the “Good Guys” podcast. While on the show, he eased fans into what to expect and discussed how things have changed for the series.

He said, “We just wrapped season 12 of ‘Southern Charm.’ We’ve been filming for 14 years, which is crazy.” From there, he teased a fun moment that happened with costar Madison LeCroy. According to him, “This is what producers don’t realize is, like, there’s something that happens this season that I kept a secret. Me and Madison have a scene this year … and there’s a big thing that happens this year.”

He added, “Her and I had traveled together for something, and when I was about to tell her on camera — I’d been waiting days to tell her this — one of the showrunners accused me, [saying], ‘I know you already told her, so let’s just get this over with.'”

However, he then swore he didn’t tell LeCroy the secret off-camera. Currently, it’s unclear when “Southern Charm” season 12 will premiere. However, it should be noted that season 11 had a similar filming window and debuted in November 2025.
