Hallmark Drops 1st Look at Next ‘Hannah Swensen Mysteries’ Movie & Fans Are Loving It

The next installment of the “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” movie series debuts in May, and Hallmark fans are counting down to the premiere date. “Best Served Cold: A Hannah Swensen Mystery” premieres on May 16, and Hallmark has now released some photos and a poster hyping the movie.

As usual, the new “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” movie stars Alison Sweeney, Victor Webster, and Barbara Niven.

Hannah & Chad’s New Case Involves a Disappearance & a Murder

On April 22, Hallmark shared the poster for “Best Served Cold” via its Instagram page. The caption teased, “A disappearance and a murder are no match for Hannah and Chad.”

This is the second new “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” movie airing in 2026 and Hallmark fans can hardly contain their excitement.

One fan commented, “So so excited for another one and not having to wait as long! Yay!!!”

Another gushed, “How exciting! Can’t wait! More Chad!!”

Fans frequently are treated to two “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” in one calendar year, so that’s not the exciting part in this case.

Usually, however, they are spread apart more. For example, in 2025, “Reality Bites” debuted in February, but fans then had to wait until June for “Pie to Die For.”

In 2026, Hallmark fans got to see “Sugar & Vice” in March, and now, after waiting a mere two months or so, another will premiere.

Hallmark has also released a handful of still shots from “Best Served Cold: A Hannah Swensen Mystery.” The photo description provides some additional teasers about the new movie.

“When a suspect in a forgery case is murdered and the prosecutor goes missing, Hannah and Chad must uncover how the two cases are connected and solve them in time for the trial,” Hallmark’s caption read.

“Best Served Cold: A Hannah Swensen Mystery” is just one of several Hallmark movies slated to debut in May. On May 2, Andrew Walker’s new movie “Kentucky Roses,” co-starring Kelly Pendygraft, premieres. It’s debut date happens to fall on the same day as the iconic Kentucky Derby.

“All’s Fair in Love & Mahjong” premieres on May 8. This one includes a handful of Hallmark fan favorites such as Paul Campbell, Fiona Gubelmann, Melissa Peterman, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe.

Another new Hallmark movie coming in May is titled “True Justice: Eye for an Eye.” This is written by Hallmark favorite Nikki DeLoach and is a follow-up to the January 2024 movie titled “True Justice: Family Ties.”

“Hope Valley: 1874” star Benjamin Ayres starred in the first movie, and he also returns for the second. That premieres on May 23.

Closing out the month of May is Mowry-Housley in another movie, but this time she’s a headliner. “Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Key to the Castle” airs on May 30.

This is the continuation of the “Haunted Harmony Mysteries” series, which has starred Mowry-Housley as Gethsemane Brown. “Key to the Castle” will be the third in the series.
