“In the City” star and reality television personality Katie DeLuca Arundel has revealed how she once gave a warning to her best friend Amanda Batula when she found out that she was dating West Wilson.
Opening up in an appearance on the podcast “Conversations with Cam” earlier this month, Arundel revealed that the pair had disagreed when it first became public knowledge that Batula and Wilson were in a relationship. Arundel admitted that she was surprised by the fact that the pair were dating and confirmed that Batula initially denied anything was going on between them.
During the podcast, Arundel also revealed that she warned her friend that she might be put into a difficult position by West. She had previously heard rumors about the fact that West and Meija Moreno may still have been together while he was supposedly in a relationship with Batula.
Katie DeLuca Arundel Says Amanda Batula Initially Hid Her Relationship
In the podcast recording, Arundel explained that she, Batula, and Wilson had spent time together hanging out. However, she believed that the group were just friends and that there were no romantic feelings between any of them.
When she eventually suspected that they might be dating, she asked Batula but her friend denied that the pair were a couple.
“I found out when everyone else found out,” Arundel said. “But I found out the details the day before the statement came out when I showed up to her apartment and was like, ‘I need to have a conversation with you. What the [expletive] is going on?'”
“I’m not going to get into details about it, but a week before the statement came out, I had texted her a question as it pertained to the nature of their relationship, and she lied. Yeah,” she added.

During the same podcast, Arundel also revealed that she had a conversation with fellow “In the City” star and Bravo personality Lindsay Hubbard about Wilson. Hubbard passed on information that Arundel felt was important for Batula to be aware of.
“Yes, we had disagreements in private,” Katie admitted. “I remember honestly after she filmed with Lindsay one-on-one, I had drinks with Lindsay and she gave me updates on West’s timing with Meija that I hadn’t been privy to in the past. I raised real concern with Amanda. I was like, ‘I don’t think you should go to Italy with this man. He might drop you like a hot cake. Do you really want to give up everything? What are you doing?’ Those conversations happened in private.”
The information from Arundel seems to tally with revelations made during the “Summer House” reunion in June. During the three-part reunion, it became clear that Moreno believed she and Wilson were dating exclusively but that he was subsequently involved with other women.
Arundel went on to say that also she and her friend had disagreements over what happened, she still supports Batula and considers them close.
She added, “When I look at Amanda and who I know as Amanda Batula, is the girl from third grade from elementary school that I’ve known my whole life who made a mistake. And it doesn’t mean that shouldn’t define who she is as a holistic person because it’s not who she is. And I think that’s the hardest part to me.”
