The “Dancing With the Stars” Season 35 cast is continuing to take shape ahead of its September premiere, and two more familiar faces are reportedly preparing to enter the ballroom. Reports claim “The Bachelorette” alum Tyler Cameron and “The Rookie” actress Jenna Dewan are set to compete on the upcoming season of “DWTS.” However, ABC has not officially announced either celebrity’s casting.
A Bachelor Nation Tradition
According to Parade, Cameron and Dewan are set to join the Season 35 cast.
Cameron became a Bachelor Nation fan favorite while he competed on Season 15 of “The Bachelorette” in 2019, which was Hannah Brown’s season. He finished as the runner-up, but his time in the franchise could give “Dancing With the Stars” fans another reason to watch his ballroom journey.
Cameron also has some close connections to former “DWTS” contestants. His best friend is former “Bachelor” star Matt James. He competed on Season 30 in 2021 and finished in 12th place with pro dancer Lindsay Arnold.
He also has a connection with Brown since he competed on her season. Brown competed on Season 28 of “Dancing With the Stars” alongside pro Alan Bersten. The couple would go on to win the Mirrorball trophy that season.
Jenna Dewan Knows Her Way Around a Dance Floor
While Cameron has strong Bachelor Nation ties, actress Jenna Dewan would bring dance experience to the ballroom.
Before she became known for her acting, Dewan worked professionally as a dancer. She used to be a backup dancer for Janet Jackson. Dewan has also performed alongside stars including Christina Aguilera, Pink, and Missy Elliott.
Of course, Dewan would later combine her acting and dancing skills as the star of the 2006 movie “Step Up.”
Back in March, Dewan addressed the rumors of her competing on “DWTS” during a March appearance on “Good Morning America.”
Dewan said, “The thing with me is like I never say never because I love dancing so much, and I miss it so much.” She added that it would be “really hard to say no to.”
While she has a dance background, none of that background includes ballroom dancing.
‘DWTS’ Season 35 Cast Continues to Grow
Cameron and Dewan would be joining several other celebrities already announced for Season 35.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” personality Guillermo Rodriguez will be competing, and reigning champion Witney Carson revealed on “GMA” that not only is she pregnant, but she will also be competing on Season 35 with Guillermo.
Other celebrities confirmed for “Dancing With the Stars” Season 35 include “Summer House” star Ciara Miller, “Love Island” alum Maura Higgins, and Savannah Bananas star Jackson Olson. However, their dance partners have not been revealed yet.
Fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out the new contestants and their pro partners. The official Season 35 cast and pairings will be announced on “Good Morning America” on September 2.
“Dancing With the Stars” Season 35 premieres on Tuesday, September 15, on ABC and Disney+, with new episodes available to stream the next day on Hulu.
